Tom Sandberg (1953) is an internationally acclaimed photographer, known for his subdued, ethereal photographs; however, his range of motifs is diverse. He can photograph a drop, a puddle, a nude model, fragments of fluttering hair or cigarette smoke which disperses in the air. Sandberg has portrayed formations of clouds, waves and endless horizons. Clouds and smoke motifs have fascinated him for many years. He has photographed from airplanes, outside in foggy landscapes and up and down streets. Published on the occasion of Sandberg's show at the Lillehammer Art Museum, Norway (2011)
