Confessions of a Street Preacher's Daughter
of 6
Set in the scorched hellscape of suburban Texas, Confessions of a Street Preacher’s Daughter is a darkly funny and emotionally unflinching memoir about a sexually amorphous child growing up under the watch of her loving street-preaching father.
This episodic narrative depicts Russian mail-order brides, megachurch politics, purity rings, incestuous sexploits and casual opioid addiction, building into a scathing deconstruction of American evangelical fixations on purity, patriarchy and power.
