Extra Drawings

Extra Drawings is an epic ride trough 18 years of Eddie Martinez's relentless drawing practice. Sleepers, birds, flowers, blockheads, Fran the dog, Nature morte, tabletops, buflies, mandalas and Raid cans are some of the artist's recurring motifs, which are taken on a morphing journey throughout this new book. A conversation between Martinez and Claire Gilman, Chief Curator at the Drawing Center in New York City digs deeper into the intricacies of the artist’s fearless approach to the white page. This publication is the third and last chapter of the Drawings trilogy.
