Published by Uhm! Publishing, RÜDO is a title that challenges “an unimaginative and often pessimistic interpretation of the concept of trash”, as suggested by the Italian word after which the magazine is named.

This issue, The Last Days, documents photographer Sibilla Calzolari's journey to Favignana, Sicily, in 2005 to witness the Mattanza, the centuries-old tuna fishing ritual that would disappear only two years later. Through quiet observation and intimate photographs, the work captures the anticipation surrounding the harvest, the daily lives of the Tonnarotti, and the traditions, songs, and knowledge passed down through generations. Both a historical document and a personal account, The Last Days preserves the final moments of a disappearing world suspended between ritual, memory, and the sea.
