Within the pages of their collaborative 'Gay Love Comix', Carlo Quispe, Mike Diana and Shane Uht let their subconscious desires and fantasies roam freely, gleefully blurring distinctions between pleasure and pain, public and private, and the sacred and the profane.  Rawness and spontaneity take precedent over draughtsmanship in these quickly-executed ink drawings of situations rarely seen in comics. Dark fantasy mingles with tawdry reality; we see lovers arguing over their addictions and engaging in explicit sexual acts involving razor blades, an 'electric eel robot', and, most profoundly, the genuine and candid affection the authors have for each other.
