Sometimes it’s harder to name than that. It might be the search for a sound, or the way light moves through a lens you trust more than any other. The slow discipline of repeating something until it takes on a life of its own. Obsession lives in the detail that suddenly outweighs the whole, and in the larger vision that refuses to leave.
