The world is still out there. Our job, now as always, is to find our places in it.
A way through it. Rødland was invited by Der Greif to guest-edit issue 17. He has built the issue around works by 90 images challenging and reflecting the medium of photography and opening up to push it forward in response to the rise of generative AI; beyond conceptualism and critical appropriation, towards a grounded but updated mysticism.
How are photographers and image makers responding to these immense technological and cultural shifts? The issue offers a compelling view on the scope and the impact of the threshold period we’re currently in. What are we thirsty for now?
