Jardin d'amour is a book of poems and images about Marseille's Mémoire des Sexualités garden, the archive of our trans, queer and dyke histories. Protected by long stone walls, it resembles the walled gardens of monasteries, a small world suspended in time. It's here, among the sage, pomegranate, ricin and immortelle trees, that the stories of our struggles and desires are sown, and the edifices of our militant imaginations branch out. We organize readings, screenings and performances to bring our archives to life and pave the way for future struggles.
32 pages of fantastic herbariums with plants collected in the garden pages of 1990s bdsm magazines, classified ads, poems by Cy Lecerf Maulpoix and previously unpublished translations by Derek Jarman drawings in vegetable ink and a gouache by Tom de Pékin.
