Antenne Books is a distributor for independent publishers. Established in London in 2010, Antenne Books distributes publications on art, photography, design, illustration, theory, writing, fashion and culture.

In the last decade, independent publishing rapidly grew, with many emerging publishers utilising new technologies and the ability to produce books on small scales and at low costs. Antenne Books was realised as a distribution platform against this background, initiated to support the large growth of these emerging publishers, who at the time had limited means to distribute their work using traditional models of book distribution. Antenne Books began by working with publishers Aki Books, Hassla, Nieves, Seems and The Institute of Social Hypocrisy, introducing retailers to publications that had, until then, rarely been available in Europe. Antenne Books now represents publishers from the UK, Europe, USA and Japan and distributes to a wide selection of bookshops and specialist retailers worldwide.

AntenneBooks.com is both an online shop and living archive of the Antenne Books distribution catalogue, which features a wide selection of artist publications, photobooks, magazines, rare and out-of-print publications, monographs and more. Titles are available from leading photobook publishers Art Paper Editions, Baron, Edition Patrick Frey, RVB and Onomatopee. Also available are titles from major artist book publishers Printed Matter, Patrick Remy, Tarmac and InOtherWords and magazines from Heavy Traffic, Mousse, Al Hayya, Luncheon, BUTT, Crotch and Dirty Magazine.

Tomorrow's Man , Tomorrow’s Man Issue 3 , Issue 3
£28 Out of Stock

This book is the third volume in Jack Pierson’s ground-breaking Tomorrow’s Man series, in which the artist has assembled an art-fueled creative collaboration that harkens back to the thirteen volumes of The Yellow Book published between 1894-1897. Whereas the first two Tomorrow’s Man volumes implied an increasing density of layered imagery and over twenty-five artists,Tomorrow’s Man 3 amplifies the work of just four artists. Richard Tinkler’s delicate geometric abstractions are highlighted once again, working in concert with Pierson’s recent series of figure studies; activist text works by Peter Fend that cry out for environmental justice; and a short story by Veralyn Behenna entitled ‘The Flavor of Your Wish’ in which an expatriate woman contemplates masculine beauty in a Grecian taverna. This is the first time Tomorrow’s Man has included previously unpublished work by Pierson.

Woven into a poetic framework of connections, the resulting narrative takes the Tomorrow’s Man series into new terrain that combines the vernacular of classic photography with the urgent, geo-political narratives of Fend’s texts, and the psychedelic reverberations of Tinkler’s drawings. The result is a publication that is itself a collaborative work of art which, with Pierson’s creative hand, manages to highlight each contributor, while simultaneously melding everything into a sophisticated mediation on culture and nature.
