Yakushima Blues is a photobook that Argentine photographer Mauro Mongiello made in 2018 during an artistic residency on the Japanese island of Yakushima. As a photographic diary, he has recorded his passage through the island, its places, some characters and inhabitants who narrate with their eyes the particular place they inhabit. Natural places and artificial elements combine in more than a hundred pages, the vision of a Western photographer on an Eastern island.
