Apian Gazette Vol. 02 - Special Issue 2025 / N.01

This second issue of Apian Gazette is unique because it’s about Apian – the Ministry of Bees itself rather than a specific research subject. It’s an issue that’s dear to me as it offers a brief overview of over a decade of research – from the fields of anthropology, art, and beekeeping – about the relationships humans have developed with bees. In particular, I wanted to produce an object that I can easily distribute (away from the digital) which acts as a call for future collaborations. Mixing images and writing, this special issue sums up the Ministry’s story and spirit. Here, images are not mere illustrations; they are an integral part of the knowledge produced by the Ministry.
