Inspired by the Edwardian-era portraits of long-haired women, this photo zine reimagines their timeless beauty in a contemporary setting. Just as women of the early 20th century took pride in their flowing locks, our modern-day Rapunzels embrace their unique beauty amidst the backdrop of urban life. Through striking imagery and intimate storytelling, this collection captures the essence of self-expression and individuality, proving that beauty—whether classic or unconventional—always finds its place in the world. We have asked them what long hair means to them, do they see it as an armour and if they have stories about them. And just like in the fairytale, some of it is true and some might be a myth.
