Scratch

The book brings together five years of photographs - everyday glimpses from rain-speckled windows and chain-link fences to found objects and fleeting textures. Each print has been meticulously transformed through hundreds of hours of hand-scratching with a scalpel, cutting through the glossy surface to reveal the paper beneath. The result is a series that exists somewhere between photograph and sculpture.
Scratch was exhibited this October in London, alongside the launch of an accompanying album created from the book’s text - read by Griffiths and reimagined by UK producers.
