Book Introduction The mythological figure Methuselah is said to be the son of Enoch, another figure from myth who is believed to have lived the longest. Inspired by this, the world’s oldest living tree is also named “Methuselah.” Drawing inspiration from this mythology, the brand began its journey by reinterpreting the meaning behind these figures, eventually forging a new identity with the name MdoEnok, a combination of Methuselah and Enoch. Grounded in this perspective, MdoEnok’s concept of “undying garments” reflects the brand’s core philosophy. It symbolizes garments that do not deteriorate or fade over time, but instead retain their original beauty and presence throughout a lifetime. With this vision, the brand’s artisans continuously pursue technical mastery and innovation, crafting pieces that no one else can replicate. This book captures the know-how and philosophy that MdoEnok upholds. Visual Collect aims to convey the spirit of the creators. how they approach the entity of “clothing” with dedication and intentionality, and how they sustain this practice with care and discipline. Brand Introduction MdoEnok was founded in 2023 in South Korea by Director Sangwon Park. The brand explores, defines, and establishes the essence of craftsmanship, excellence and is guided by a singular purpose that informs all of its work. MdoEnok’s idea of “undying garments” refers to pieces that withstand the test of time without alteration or loss of beauty. This sense of timelessness lies at the heart of the brand. To preserve the integrity of its identity and direction, MdoEnok completes all products entirely by hand through in-house processes, ensuring that its craftsmanship is never diluted or misinterpreted. “We hope our garments are cherished. forever.”
