When a heavy black cloud of mosquitoes sucks all of the blood out of you is a zine by artist Odessa Straub. The zine is composed of black and white ink drawings. The abstract forms take on themes of swelling and swarming. This limited edition zine was published in Zürich in 2019.
Odessa Straub is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She is known for her inventive use of unconventional materials in her paintings and sculptures, including latex tubing, fabric, hair, and leather. Her work has been shown extensively in New York City and Internationally, including a solo show at The Journal Gallery and September.
This zine is published by Innen, an independent publisher promoting Swiss and international contemporary artists, offering unconventional perspectives on art and contemporary trends. Founded by Aaron Fabian in 2006, their focus on contemporary artists zines has since then gained them international prestige.
